Invitation to a training “Prevent Sexual Violence”
We are pleased to invite you to a training for volunteers “Prevent Sexual Violence”, conducted by the Women’s Room – Center for Sexual Rights.
Training will be held on November 30, 2012 (from 10:00 h – 18 h) and December 1, 2012 (from 10.00 am -16.00 pm) at Hotel Palace Square of J.J. Strossmayer 10, Zagreb.
Training sessions will focus on themes such as gender-based violence, forms and prevalence of sexual violence, consequences of sexual violence, the Code of conduct in cases of sexual violence in schools, forms of assistance and protection, and the methodology of working with youth.
The training will be led by Maja Vukmanić (social pedagoguish) and Antonija Hojt (social pedagoguish). Also, the training will include a guest lecturer Ana Ergović Kuzmanović (social worker), head of the Committee for organizing and providing support and assistance to victims/witnesses who will present their work and introduce the participants with the process of reporting violence to relevant institutions.
After the training, each volunteer will, in collaboration with the Women’s Room, conduct two workshops for youth in secondary schools in their local communities. Participants will receive a certificate of completion of the training and conducted workshops.
Experience in the design and implementation of workshops is desired, and preference is given to those who reside outside of Zagreb.
Training is free and the attendance is mandatory during the entire duration of the training. The training is implemented with the financial support by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Youth, in collaboration with the City Office for Social Welfare and People with Disabilities.
